As our area prepares for potential winter weather over the weekend, Owensboro Public Schools will be sending home materials for nontraditional instruction (NTI) for all students in the event a decision is made for Tuesday classes. (School is not in session Monday, January 15 for MLK Day).
This 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 mean the district has made a decision about Tuesday. We are only sending materials home to be prepared in the event we have to call off school. Again, this 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 mean a decision has been made for Tuesday.
As a reminder, we have attached NTI expectations for students and staff to this post. Please take the time to review those expectations so you are prepared in the event of the district utilizing an NTI day.

Our 1st Grade Space Explorers had a great time at our family event! Families spent the evening learning about the sun, moon, and stars making sun catchers, looking at constellations, and visualizing the different phases of the moon! Thank you to everyone who came out and made tonight possible!

"On Veterans Day we honor all, who answered to a service call. Soldiers young, and soldiers old, fought for freedom, brave and bold. Some have lived, while others died, and all of them deserve our pride. We're proud of all the soldiers who, kept thinking of red, white, and blue. They fought for us and all our rights. They fought through many days and nights. And though we may not know each name, we THANK ALL VETERANS just the same." Author Unknown
