The online platform is now up and running and the district is beginning the phase of reaching out to alumni to register.
We encourage all alumni of Owensboro Public Schools to register to be informed about alumni events, special dates, and ways to be involved with Owensboro Public Schools. Be sure to pass the information along to other alumni who may not be on social media.

Help us celebrate School Counselor Week and FRYSC Week with a PB&J and PJ Day! Students, wear your pajamas on Wednesday, February 7th! We are also collecting donations for the blessing box! For those wanting to donate, we are asking for jars of peanut butter and jelly be dropped off on Wednesday, February 7th.

Owensboro Public Schools will be CLOSED due to weather on Friday, January 19, 2024. This will be a normal snow day and NOT an NTI day.
Due to the possibility of freezing rain during the school day, Owensboro Public Schools will be CLOSED today, January 18, 2024. This will be a traditional snow day. There will NOT be an NTI day today.
Our district is closely monitoring a potential winter weather system that could once again impact our area tomorrow during the school day. We are expecting another update from the National Weather Service very early tomorrow morning that will provide more accurate timing of that system and at which point the district will make a decision for school tomorrow. We understand this is an inconvenience for families, but for the safety of our students, their families and our staff, we can't have our buses and families on the roads in icy conditions. As always, we will ONLY make an announcement if we cancel in-person learning. If you don't get another message, treat the day like you would a normal school day.
Due to extreme cold weather and still some dangerous road conditions, Owensboro Public Schools will utilize a nontraditional instruction (NTI) day again tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Central Office will be closed to the public tomorrow as well. Staff should refer to the NTI memo about reporting to their building or not tomorrow.
