Hey friends! We need someone to help us get this amazing 2022-2023 5th Grade Legacy project on the wall! If you know someone with a tile business (licensed and insured) that would be willing to help with this small project, please reach out to Ms. Tines. Kristin.tines@owensboro.kyschools.us

Tomorrow is High Attendance Day! We can't wait to see our friends on time and in their PJ's!

The Owensboro Board of Education is currently conducting a search for the district's next superintendent. State law requires the Board have a screening committee, of which includes a parent representative. If you are interested in serving on this committee or you would like to nominate another parent, please do so in the link below. The deadline for nominations is the end of the day Friday, September 15, 2023. PTO Presidents from the schools will vote on the representative.

Make sure your kiddos are present and on time this Wednesday as we celebrate High Attendance Day! Everyone is invited to wear PJ's to school and enjoy a popsicle treat during recess. Classes with 100% attendance will receive a visit from the Candy Cart on Friday!

Sutton families,
The district has informed us that the TalkingPoints issues have been resolved. Log in and check that you see your child's classes and are able to message teachers. If not, we are recommending that you first log out of the app, and then log back in. Your teachers will now start using this again for communications. And just as before, if you are having trouble getting connected through the app or have any questions, please call the school and we can help you troubleshoot any issues. Thank you!
Next Tuesday and Thursday will we be hosting Parent Information Nights. During this time parents and guardians will have the opportunity to learn all about Sutton, as well as your child's classroom rules and procedures. K-2nd Grade will meet on Tuesday, September 12th and 3rd-5th Grade will meet on Thursday, September 14th from 5:30-6:30PM. These nights are for parents/guardians only, it is recommended that students/children do not attend unless absolutely necessary. If you have any questions or concerns please call 270-686-1140.
Mrs. Marchand will also be holding a brief volunteer training immediately following Parent Information Night in the Gym. If you plan to volunteer in any capacity this year, you must attend this training. If you have students in both upper (3rd-5th) and lower (K-2nd) grades, you only have to attend ONE training. If you have any questions regarding volunteering, please contact Mrs. Marchand, Family Resource Coordinator at 270-686-1108.

Dear families,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. TalkingPoints is continuing to experience technical issues. While we can send school wide messages, you may not be able to reach your child's teacher through direct message. Teachers are also unable to reach you. The district is working hard to fix this. We will keep you posted as circumstances change! In the meantime, if you need to reach your teacher, we encourage you to email them or call the front office. If your teacher is using DOJO, you can also use the direct messaging there. Thank you as always for your understanding!
During our first All Pro Dad this morning we discussed and practiced some true problem solving skills!! Thank you to everyone who made today possible! We can’t wait to hangout with our ladies next month at the first ever Mighty Moms meeting!!

Sutton Families,
We are currently experiencing a few technical difficulties with Talking Points. This was a district-wide issue, and they are working hard to address any problems. You should still be connected to your teachers, but you will not be able to see any previous direct messages due to an update from Talking Points. If you know of anyone that is now disconnected, please direct them to call the school with any questions or concerns. Thank you!
