Please join us Tuesday, July 30 immediately following the School Board meeting (approximately 5:15 p.m.) for a welcome reception for our new superintendent Dr. Wendy Duvall! The reception will be held at Central Office, 450 Griffith Ave. Hope to see you there!

Join us this Friday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at either Owensboro Walmart location for our 8th Annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive! You can donate to either location and the supplies will help our students have everything they need to start the school year off right!

School supply lists are available now for the 2024-25 school year!
You can find a link to each school's list by clicking the "School Supplies 2024" link on the homepage or in the menu under Parents > Documents > School Supply Lists 2024-25.
Owensboro High School and Emerson Academy do not have lists, but students are encouraged to purchase blank notebooks and writing utensils to be prepared for the first day of school.
Any questions about your schools' list should be directed to representatives from those schools.

Parents of incoming and repeating Kindergarten students please mark your calendar for July 24th. We will administer the Brigance screening from 8:30AM to 3:00PM in the library at Sutton Elementary. This is a required state entrance assessment and will take approximately 15 minutes. If your child is unable to come on July 24th, then they will be screened during the first couple weeks of school. We look forward to meeting you and your student. Click the link below to sign-up! THANKS ❤️

Field Day is Thursday! Same Place. Same Schedule.

Career Day 2024 @ Sutton Elementary was epic! We had 26 stations each showcasing a unique career with several Sutton Alumni in the bunch.
Special thanks to all Career Day Guests!

It was a GREAT State testing week at Sutton Elementary! Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders not only had perfect attendance on the first two days of testing, but they arrived at school on time, and gave their Good Faith Effort. After testing each morning, we also enjoyed a little fun in the afternoon. Here are some highlights of Survivor for 3rd-5th, Ice-Cream incentive for 3rd and 4th, and Foam Party incentive for 5th. Thank you Sutton families, staff, and PTO for helping our students have a successful week on State testing.

Due to the threat of severe weather around our normal dismissal time, Owensboro Public Schools will be releasing early today, May 8, 2024. The dismissal schedule will run as follows:
Middle Schools - 12:30 p.m.
Elementary - 1 p.m.
High School and Preschool - 1:30 p.m.
All after school activities planned for today have been cancelled as well. Please stay vigilant throughout the afternoon and evening and be weather aware.
Tonight!

Thank you Sutton PTO for rewarding our entire school with Kona Ice for great success on their iReady Reading and Math tests.

Thank you to Ms. Cheryl and Ms. Catherine for a lovely evening of delicious taste testing and unique crafts! Some 5th grade families enjoyed a Spring Garden Salad, Tilapia with Pineapple Salsa, Turkey & Veggie Sheet Pan Dinner, and a Strawberry Trifle!! All families and participants went home with a “Salad in a Bowl” complete with a pot, potting soil, and seeds to grow lettuce at home! Thank you to the UK Extension Office for such a fun night!

Sutton 4th graders did some hands-on learning today in Science class. They dissected cow eyes 👀
