2025 fine arts festival is in full swing! These kiddos have worked so hard in the art room and we couldn’t be more proud of them❤️ their art is hanging beautifully for all of Owensboro to come check out from now until March 26th! Don’t miss your chance to support the arts!

Online Registration for the 2025-26 school year is now open to families to begin registering their students for the upcoming school year. Families in the Owensboro Public Schools district need to visit startolr.com and select "25-26" year at the beginning to complete their registration for next school year. All returning families' information is already in the database, they just need to confirm it is updated and correct to complete online registration. Families who are new to the district will need to visit the school in which their child will attend. If they are unsure of what school their child will attend, they can find a district map on the district website at owensboro.kyschools.us.

I'm trying something new. As a dog/cat owner and a volunteer at the animal shelter, I thought I would throw together an Amazon List for anyone that wants to make donating extra easy. Check out the registry list link, make your purchase and it will be shipped to Sutton. Be sure to include your child's name on the note when prompted! There are several pages of items that I KNOW the shelter needs. I realize it is a competition and your kiddos are likely pushing for quantity over quality, but we have a process to make sure that the count matches the donation:) Thanks for your generosity. It's amazing how one busy bone can make a shelter pup's day!

Wrapped up our last full week of roller skating and HOLY MOLY this was awesome!!!
Seeing the growth and confidence, not only in the skill but also in themselves, was absolutely incredible!!! So many students learned and practiced resilience, patience, and determination on this 5 week journey.
I am BEYOND proud of our students for not giving up, especially when this skill was totally new to so many of them! It has been an honor to see them grow and gain confidence from the first lesson to the last❤️
Thank you to the parents and families and teachers for your support with this. Y’all are awesome too!!
Some of my favorite quotes from the kids:
“Look at me, I’m finally doing it!!!”
“I practiced resilience, Mrs. Roberts!”
“Oh, it’s not actually that hard anymore.”
The last picture is my favorite. In morning meeting, Ms. Tines asked who felt they had improved since starting roller skating. As you can see, many hands in every class, in every grade were raised❤️ it was so awesome to see!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our 2nd & 3rd Grade Literacy Night! We spent our time learning about strategies to use when we’re having bad days!! We learned it’s okay to feel blue or to be down in the dumps, even superheroes have bad days! BUT! We don’t stay in them. We pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and keep going! Thank you to community partner, RiverValley Behavioral Health for joining us!
Please enjoy pictures from our time!

We didn’t do a great job snapping pics of our Wacky Wednesday wear. I only took 2. 😬
