When : Practices start week of 10/5 for both grade divisions & 4th/5th grade games start 10/24, with final day of games on 12/19. (NO games on Thanksgiving weekend!)
Cost : 2nd/3rd Grade = $20 4th/5th Grade = $35 (Registration Fee MUST be paid at time of registration OR will be voided.)
IF a family has multiple students participating, then the registration form has to be completed for EACH student!

Sutton PTO
Our Blessing Box, located at the front of Sutton, is in need of donations. If you would like to donate non-perishable items, you may drop those off with your student. We appreciate any donations given!
Thank you again for all the hard work over the last couple of weeks to get tied in to School Dismissal Manager and using the FastLane feature for dismissal. Everything is running pretty well!
Just a couple of reminders. Remember to make exceptions (transportation changes) in SDM before 1:45pm. We understand last-minute changes need to occur on occasion, but call-in changes made after that time won't make it through in the SDM system, which means we will likely have to use the radio to make sure your child gets to the appropriate spot, which can sometimes cause delays.
Also, please do not take and save a picture of the QR code and try to check in without going to the appropriate spot. This is mostly happening at the Front Door, and can present a big safety concern when students walk out of the building without an adult there to receive them. We will be reprinting a new QR code for front door tomorrow to make sure this isn't the trend.
We appreciate all of our Sutton parents and families, and thank you for helping continue to make dismissal for your child safe and efficient.
The issue preventing parents of students in both our district and DCPS has been resolved! You should now be able to login to your child's Rooms account through the OPS app with the following steps:
1) Open the OPS App
2) Click on "Rooms" at the bottom of the screen
3) Click on the red "Sign In' Button
4) Enter your PHONE NUMBER with no dashes in the box asking for phone number
5) Enter the verification code sent to your phone
6) Accept the terms of service
This should allow you to login. If it doesn't, you likely aren't listed as one of the two primary guardians of the student. If you are unable to login, please contact rooms@owensboro.kyschools.us and we will work to resolve the issue.
We did them a little different this year and delayed their distribution so that everyone could get logged in to School Dismissal Manager and use that as the primary dismissal system. These Car Tags will be our "backup system."
Each parent/guardian in SDM, and any View Only/Pickup Parent that has been added in SDM, has a Car Tag assigned to them and coming home with their first name and last initial on it. Please hang your Car Tag in your vehicle and also keep it with you at pickup in all locations. Again, we will use this primarily as a backup system if SDM goes down or we lose power for some reason at dismissal time. In the case we do not have access to SDM, a Car Tag will let us know that you have a child here at Sutton, and we can use the number on the Car Tag for secure dismissals.
If you lose your tag, notify the front office and we will regenerate a number for you, and get you a brand new Car Tag with your new number.
If you have a student in After School Program, definitely use this Car Tag primarily for Ms. Cook to secure checkouts since SDM is not for After School Program use at this time.

Once they have sold the box, put the money in the collection envelope that came with it, and fill out all of the information on the envelope (student name, date, teacher, grade, amount). Send this envelope in with your child to school.
If you want another box to sell, don't forget to also sign your name in the section of the envelope that says "Sign below to receive another box of chocolate." Once the envelope is received and money collected and processed, we will send another box home with your child. We will not send any additional boxes home with students a) If parents have not signed that section or b) the full amount for the box is not included in the envelope.

Today marks Day 1 of our first PTO Fundraiser of the year. We are running back our World's Finest Chocolate Sale! Last year, we set the state record for most boxes sold. Seriously!
Coming home today in your child's folder is a permission slip to participate. If you would like to sell, sign that permission slip and the first box of chocolate will be sent home with your child once the permission slip is received at school.
To avoid some confusion this year, we want to clarify that you must sell a full box before being able to receive an additional box, and we are only distributing one box at a time. So hold on to your chocolate until you sell it all, send the money back to school in folders with your child, and THEN we can send home one additional box to sell once all of that is processed.
