Students may be eligible for summer nutrition assistance. SEBT is intended to reduce hunger and food insecurity for students who lose access to free and reduced-priced meals through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP), during the summer when school is not in session.
How do I Apply? SEBT benefit applications can be completed online or you can contact DCBS at 855-306-8959 with questions. The online application can be accessed through THIS LINK starting June 22, 2024.
Who is eligible? The following school-aged students (ages 6-17 as of August 1, 2023) are automatically approved for benefits and do not need to apply. Students that have received SNAP, KTAP and/or Kinship Care for at least one month since July 1, 2023. Students who do not fall into these categories but are within the income eligibility limits can apply for SEBT benefits online.
June, July and August benefit amount: Households can expect to receive a one-time lump sum issuance of $120 ($40 per summer month) per eligible student, if approved.
