Last week, the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association named the Owensboro Innovation Academy's STEM programming as a Program of Excellence.
This award is presented to teachers, students and programs that exemplify excellence in the field of technology, engineering and STEM education.
OIA was one of 20 schools nationwide to earn this recognition and was the only high school in Kentucky to do so. Facilitators John and Stephanie Gray were on hand in St. Louis to accept the award for the school.
