This past Friday, students from Owensboro High School's Community Work Transition Program visited RiverValley Behavioral Health for an ongoing opportunity for students with unique challenges to job shadow in various departments within River Valley.
Once a week, 14 students will job shadow a RVBH team member for a little over an hour. This eight-week program will serve as a valuable step towards supporting these students with diverse learning needs as they prepare for the transition from school to employment and independent living.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to explore potential career paths in fields they are interested in and another example of community partners finding ways to incorporate individuals into their workforce who have unique abilities.
