DeLacey Award

Earlier this week, Cravens Elementary School's Family Resource Coordinator, Amanda DeLacey was recognized as a finalist for the Harry J Cowherd Award, which recognizes an individual who has excelled in in the crucial role of serving kids and families.

Mrs. DeLacey took over as the school's FRYSC coordinator a few years ago and made an immediate impact on their students and families. Instituting programs like Leap for Health, Learn to Sew, Mental Health Night, Family Christmas Night, Donuts with Dudes, and Muffins with Mom have added to the school's positive culture, as well as developing working relationships with families built on trust, understanding, and a myriad of resources.

Within the school, Mrs. Delacey takes on leadership roles like the chair of our Family Events Committee, member of our MTSS core team, and member of the PBIS Tier II team. Her preparedness and attention to detail makes sure her events run smoothly and contribute to the school's bridge-building from home to school.

Congratulations to Mrs. DeLacey on this recognition!
