Owensboro Public Schools and Daviess County Public Schools are teaming up for "Protect, Empower, Prepare", a parent and community information session surrounding online safety.
During this session, participants will hear from Detective John Sims of the Kentucky State Police about the issues that are affecting children in the Commonwealth when it comes to social media. Participants will also learn resources that are available to them and how to protect their children online.
The event will be held August 25 from 5-7 p.m. at Daviess County High School.
