Owensboro Public Schools has announced the launch of the Red Devil Network, a streaming platform that will allow sports fans, parents, and community members to live stream Owensboro Public Schools events throughout the school year.
The Red Devil Network will work in partnership with Owensboro High School to produce live-streamed events for athletics, fine arts, and more in order to amplify the voice, spirit, and achievements of Owensboro Public Schools while providing another avenue for our parents and community members to stay connected with the events occurring in our district.
Dan Bartlett, the “Voice of the Red Devils” will lead each of the broadcasts and incorporate student involvement in production, camera operation, interviews and more.
“There is certainly a large following for Owensboro High School Athletics and Owensboro Public Schools in general,” said OHS Athletic Director Todd Harper. “Dan came to us with this vision and with initial financial support provided by The Carter Tate Divine Memorial Fund through the Foundation for Excellence at Owensboro Public Schools and a number of community partners, we’re going to be able to provide high quality, professional coverage of events throughout our district for years to come.”
The Red Devil Network will provide live streamed coverage of all varsity football games, at least two other varsity sports each week, the weekly Red Devil Rundown coach’s show, and school events such as Fine Arts performances, graduations and more.
While the varsity football games will be live streamed with video on the Red Devil Network YouTube Channel, the audio from the broadcast will be simulcast on 92.9 WVJS in the Owensboro market at the same time, providing even more opportunities for the community to be a part of the broadcast.
The first broadcast on the Red Devil Network will be Friday, August 21 at 7 p.m. for the football team’s home opener against St. Xavier.
