The 4th Annual Big Red Battle Blood Drive kicks off this week running from Sept 2-5 ahead of the Owensboro High School vs Daviess County High School football game.
This event is sponsored by the National Honor Society.
Those wishing to participate can donate at any time at the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center. Just be sure to mention that you are donating in support of Owensboro High School.
For those wishing to donate at the Bloodmobile, it will be available at the following times:
Owensboro High School
Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025
9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Students Only
3-5 p.m. - Parents, Families, and Fans
Daviess County High School
Friday, Sept. 5, 2025
4-7 p.m. - Parents, Families, & Friends
All donors will receive a free t-shirt in their team's colors while supplies last.
All donors must be at least 17 years of age (or 16 with parental consent) and weigh at least 115 pounds, and not have donated within the last 56 days. . Donors must check medications with staff before donating. Please eat a full meal prior to donation. Donors must also present a valid ID before donating.
