The Owensboro High School Boys Golf Team took home their first City/County Championship in more than a decade last night after defeating Owensboro Catholic, Apollo and Daviess County High Schools at Ben Hawes. Junior Will Hume also took home the individual City/County Championship posting a low score of 75, defeating Daviess County's Grant Broughton who shot a 76.
The team, led by head coach Pat Hume, brought home the lowest score over the two-day tournament. The team shot a total 322 to take the lowest score. Daviess County posted a 338 to take second, Owensboro Catholic posted a 342 for third and Apollo rounded out the competition with a 352.
Individual scores are as follows (only the top four scores count toward the total):
Will Hume - 75 (overall winner)
Will Rickard - 85
Cole Crews - 80
Walker Gaddis - 82
Brady Benjamin - 89
