Athletic Director Todd Harper announced that Sarah Poole would be the next girls soccer coach at Owensboro High School.
Poole is a 2002 Owensboro High School graduate and has worked with soccer program in the district for several years before being named to the helm. She has served as a goalie coach, assistant coach, middle school coach and more throughout the years.
Poole is the daughter of legendary OHS boys soccer coach Dale Poole, whom which the field at the soccer complex is named.
Following the announcement, Poole met with members of the team and even spoke to a few younger students who are interested in playing soccer, already building connections with the future of the program.
