'I Love to Read' Month officially kicks off Thursday, February 1 and runs the entire month of February.
Once again, Owensboro Public Schools is developing new, exciting ways to engage students and their families (and even staff) in reading throughout the month.
This year, Amy Bellamy, the district's English Language Arts & Social Studies Instructional Coordinator has created a BINGO game for students to earn prizes such as free books or a Scholastic shopping spree.
Use the links below to print your bingo cards and/or PreK game board! We have some awesome prizes up for grabs this year for students AND staff!
Preschool students can earn prizes for their class by completing the Footsteps2Brilliance Reading Challenge. The Top 3 classes will win a prize, but every PreK student who completes the game board will also win a FREE BOOK!

For each completed bingo on their card, students will get one entry into the prize drawing. Encourage students to work all month long to get more “5 in a rows” marked on their cards so they’ll get as many entries as possible!
Students need to submit bingo cards to their teachers by Feb. 29 so they can be entered into the prize drawing.
OPS staff can join in on the fun, too! Community partners have donated gift card prizes that up for grabs! Classified and certified staff will get one entry in the prize drawing for each 5-in-a-row they complete on the OPS Staff Challenge Bingo Card. Keep working to mark off those squares all month long to increase your chances of winning!

All game boards and completed bingo cards (staff and students) must be returned no later than Monday, March 4. Late cards will not be accepted, so please plan accordingly!
