Students at Cravens and Foust Elementary and Hager Preschool received a brand new pair of shoes from Happy Feet Equals Learning Feet today as part of their annual campaign!
Community partners from Rally Point Events raised the funds to help purchase more than 1,000 pairs of shoes from Shoe Sensations for the students. Their goal is to be able to provide shoes for 3,000 students next year, with the hope that every student from every elementary school in the county would receive a pair.
This was an incredible way to wrap up the semester and head into the holiday break! The district wants to thank the Owensboro Police Department, Kentucky Wesleyan College Women’s Soccer team, and the OPS Technology and Personnel Departments for volunteering to help with this event.
