NTI Expectations for 2023-24

Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) days were granted by the Kentucky Department of Education. These days will allow Owensboro Independent Schools students to receive instructional days when certain conditions prevent schools from being in session. Example: Inclement weather.

Owensboro Independent Schools will announce when a regular school day is canceled. The announcement will be specific if schools are closed or if the school is using an NTI day. If a district is closed, the students aren’t expected to do any assignments. If a district is using an NTI day, the students will be expected to complete any assignments posted on Google Classroom.

Below are the expectations of student, teacher, and parent/guardian on NTI days by grade bands. If for any reason a student can not log into Google Classroom a paper copy will be sent home when the student returns to school.
