Welcome to the OPS Get Started page!  This page is designed to help students, teachers, and staff setup and configure their device to use OPS provided resources like email, Google Apps for Education, and other resources.  It is also designed for those who just need a refresher on how to setup and find technology related items.


Accessing Your Email

To check your email from the web visit and log in with your email address and password.


On the OPS website,, under “Staff” on the main menu, click “OPS Email” and log in with your email address and password.

Clever is our one stop shop for all OPS digital resources. It’s easy to use and customizable. If a resource is not listed submit a Technology ticket to have it added. See the “Need Technology Support” section below.



The Filewave Kiosk is used to install software, printers, and other items.  The Filewave Kiosk should be the first place you look if need something installed on your device.

Google Drive File Stream

Google Drive now has two applications; one for businesses, Google Drive File Stream, and one for consumers, Google Backup & Sync.

Once you install the Google Drive File Stream app please verify you have uninstalled the old Google Drive application and deleted the old Google Drive folder. This will help to avoid confusion when saving files. Instructions are provided below.

All OPS devices should already have the “Papercut OPS Bizhubs” printer installed. This allows you to print to any OPS monochrome Bizhub in the district.

Taking Care of Your Device

Here are some helpful reminders on how to care for your district assigned device:

  • Keep all food and drinks away from your district assigned device.
  • Do not eat over or near your district assigned device.
  • Do not pick up your laptop by the display.
  • When closing your laptop make sure there are no items laying on the keyboard. (ex. paper, pens, staples, paper clips)

  • To clean other devices please follow these instructions:

CAUTION: Isopropyl alcohol is a flammable liquid. Never spray or pour any liquid directly on the LCD panel. Do not clean the screen while the PC is powered on.

  1. Shut down the computer.
  2. Disconnect power to the system or monitor.
  3. Apply the cleaning solution to the microfiber cloth (DO NOT spray the cleaning solution directly on the LCD panel).
  4. Wipe the LCD screen gently with a soft, dry cloth.
    If any marks remain, moisten the cloth with LCD cleaner, and then gently stroke the cloth across the display in one direction, moving from the top of the display to the bottom.
  5. Be sure the LCD screen is dry before closing it or using the computer.


Caution: DO NOT spray any type of cleaning solution on the LCD panel directly. Ensure to spray the cleaning solution on the microfiber cloth.

Note: Do not use any of the following chemicals or any solutions that contain: acetone, ethyl alcohol, toluene, ethyl acid, ammonia, or methyl chloride. If you have a different chemical or solution and are not sure whether it is suitable, do not use it. Using any of the chemicals in this list may cause permanent damage to the LCD screen. Some commercial window cleaners contain ammonia and are, therefore, unacceptable.

Note: Many cleaning solutions are sold specifically as LCD cleaners. You can use these to clean LCD screens on Dell laptop PCs or monitors. Alternately, you may use a 50:50 isopropyl alcohol and water mixture. Microfiber cloth such as those used to clean eyeglasses are excellent for use with LCDs.

  • DO NOT use paper towels or tissues.

Accidents happen.  The important thing is to tell someone in the technology department immediately.  Even if you think the damage is minimal it is vital to inform the technology department so we can inspect the device and minimize the damage to the device.

Liquid spilled on or near your device must not be ignored!  If liquid is spilled on or near your device do not assume since the device is still running everything is ok.  Even a small amount of liquid can ruin a device.  

Think you’ll be fine letting your device dry out after a liquid spill?  Think again, once the liquid has dried, yes your device may still work for a day, a week, a month, maybe even a year, BUT the additives in the liquid are still on the device and over time these additives deteriorate the circuitry of the device and can eventually cause irreversible damage to the device.  Notifying someone in the technology department as soon as possible when a liquid spill occurs, no matter how small, can prevent such damage from occurring.
