  • NASA Kids' Club - click on Level 3 and choose "Addition Blast Off" to find numbers that equal a given sum

Computation

  • The ArithmAttack - students can practice addition, subtraction, multiplication or division in a one minute timed session.  Teachers can have students select the number range for the problems by selecting a high and low number.

Counting

  • Bobbie Bear - Counting Strategies - Bobbie Bear is planning a vacation and wants to know how many outfits can be made using different colored shirts and pants.
  • The Chevron Cars - Chevron is providing several "Connect the Dots" vehicles from their car collection set.

  • Change Maker - use this FunBrain web site to have student test their change making skills.  Instead of having a Spelling Bee, try having a Money Bee to see which student has the best change making ability.
  • Discovering Coin Values - click on the Discovering Coin Values link at this Toon University web site for students to test their knowledge of adding coins to find a given price
  • The History of Money - click on The History of Money link at this Toon University web site for students to learn about things that were used for money in addition to coins and paper money.
  • Poems about Coins - use these poems by elementary teacher, Addie Gaines, to help students learn facts about the penny, nickel, dime and quarter.
  • Seven Crazy Taxes from the US and Abroad - death and taxes are the only certainties in life, and it seems there is no limit to when or how either can occur. Yet, there are tons of taxes that are stranger, and shorter lived, than others.

Shapes

  • Hidden Shapes - locate hidden shapes at this Etch-a-Sketch web site.  Enter at the main site, students enter first name, their name is drawn on an Etch-a-Sketch.  Then choose Cool Games and click on Hidden Shapes.

Time

  • Bang on Time - students at this Oswego, New York City School District site must "Read the time in words and then stop the clock when the hands are in the matching position."
  • NASA Kids' Club - click on Level 4 and choose "Flip Time" to match the time on an analog clock to the time on a digital clock
