The Rose Curtain Players win the Kentucky Theatre Association’s One-Act Play Festival with Jenny Saint Joan. Back to Back wins for the RCP. Will Stone was named to the All-State Cast, Steffan Clark named Best Supporting Actor, and Grae Greer named Best Actress.

Owensboro Middle School Band 34 students in District 2 Honor Band
Danny Humphreys awarded KMEA District 2 Citation of Service
OMS 8th grade band performed at University of Kentucky Band Festival in October
Three OMS South students were selected to the KYACDA Elementary All-State Chorus
Six OMS South students were selected to the Quad State Middle School Chorus
Ten OMS students were selected to sing in the Broadway production of MESSIAH ROCKS!
6th Grader Janie Sutherland Placed Third in the Kentucky Art Education Association State Art Competition
5th and 6th Grade art students designed and painted an 8’ original quilt design for the Kentucky Quilt Trails Project. The final design was a combination of two original student works and a third student’s color combination. Several students worked after school to complete the painting which is now a part of the Kentucky Quilt Trails Project.
Elementary Accomplishments
Sutton Elementary received a grant for our “On the Move” runners club for $25,000 to build a running/walking track at Sutton. The grant funding was through the Green River Area Community Foundation.
